Tuesday 10 August 2021 is census night.
Conducted every 5 years, census data provides valuable information about transport, schools, health care, roads and buildings and help plan local services for individuals, families and communities.
For those at risk or experiencing homelessness, the information provided is equally as important. By completing the census information, the data is able to help provide information and funding decision around:
- assisting people experiencing homelessness or a housing crisis
- support for emergency shelters for individuals and families
- support for people experiencing domestic violence and transitional housing.
If you are unsure or have questions regarding the census and how to complete it, there are several resources available below. Anchor’s Homelessness Support Team are also happy to assist as best they can, simply contact us via our website and we will be in touch.
