This week is National Foster Carer Week.
This year’s theme is about the value of carers – and at Anchor, recognise that we could not do what we do without the support of our volunteer foster carers.
We have had some unique challenges in 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic has changed the way we have had to work, socialise, learn and teach. We are grateful that our carers have adapted with us as we practice social distancing with zoom meetings, virtual training and telephone calls. This only highlights how much our carers “Never give up” on a child or young person in need.
Regardless of the current restrictions in Victoria, we continue to celebrate and acknowledge our carers this week. We will be holding a number of activities that represent “Five Days of You.” That means for five days you can expect something special to say thank you. One of our key events will be our family zoom activity.
Thank you to all our wonderful foster carers.
