The theme of this year’s Children’s Week promotes UNCRC Article 12 insisting that “Children’s views and opinions are respected. They have the right to express those views freely in all matters affecting the child and the right to be heard.”
We’d like to remind every child that you have the right to give your opinion, and for adults to listen and take it seriously.
At Anchor, we are committed to the safety and well-being of all children and young people participating in our programs, and the welfare of the children in our care will always be our first priority. We aim to create a culturally safe and child friendly environment.
If you are a young person needing to speak to someone, you can talk to a safe adult you know (like an older relative, your case manager, a teacher, or one of your friend’s parents), or call Kids Helpline on 1800 55 1800.
