• Information Privacy Act 2000
  incorporating amendments at 29 April 2004.
  
  This Act requires the responsible collection and handling of personal information in Victoria, the rights of access to individuals to stored personal information and its accuracy, remedies for inappropriate interference with recorded personal information and the establishment of the Privacy Commissioner.
  
  
• Health Records Act 2001
  Incorporating Amendments at 12 December 2005
  
  This Act promotes the fair and responsible handling of health information by protecting the privacy of individuals. It also details people’s rights of access to their health information and complaints resolution directions.
  
  
• Working with Children Act 2005
  
  This Act assists in protecting children from sexual or physical harm by requiring people who work with children to have their suitability checked annually by a government body.
  
  
• Working with Children Regulations 2006 
  Version as at 1 April 2006
  
  These regulations prescribe the Working with Children Check required by the Working With Children Act 2005 and all aspects of its administration, information gathering, storage and notification.
  
  
•  Children and Young Person's Act 2005 (gazetted in April 2007)

  This Act establishes and consolidates the purpose, jurisdiction and procedures of the Children’s Court of Victoria. It provides protection for children and young people and includes provisions for children and young people charged with and found guilty of offences.
  
  
•  Supported Accommodation Assistance Program (SAAP) Act (1994)
  
  The Victorian Government SAAP Regulations respond to the Australian Federal Government’s Supported Accommodation Assistance Act 1994, No. 162, 1994 version at 23 January 2003, a jointly funded program supporting people of all ages experiencing homelessness and those at risk of homelessness.
