Thanks to Sarah!

A huge thanks to our most recent supporter!
Sarah and her friends have collected items to be distributed by local groups. With Mothers Day coming up, these handbags will make great presents for some of the women we are working with. Sarah is proof that one person can make a huge difference to the community! Thank you!

Pantry donations needed!

Due to increased demand our pantry supplies are at an all time low.
We have an immediate need for any non-perishable items, particularly UHT milk, baked beans, tinned spaghetti and tuna.
If you are able to donate, please drop goods to our Housing Support Team at Jarlo Drive in Lilydale (level 2- above the library).
Thank you on behalf of the many locals you will be helping us support!
(If you require food or housing assistance, please contact our team on 9760 6400)

Thank you City Life!

Our teams have been extremely busy spreading Christmas cheer over the past couple of weeks. Thanks to the generosity of everyone at City Life Church we have been able to bring joy to many local children, who may otherwise not have received a gift this year. Thank you City Life for your ongoing support. Merry Christmas!

Food donations for local families

If you are looking for a way to help someone this holiday season, here is a quick & easy idea! Grab a “blue bag” and fill it with groceries that we can pass on to a local family. The food doesn’t have to be festive or fancy, but items that can help create simple meals are great (no perishables please). Bags can be dropped at our offices or at our outreach posts (feel free to message us for more details). We would love to receive 20 bags, to help us support people throughout the holidays- Can you help us by providing one?

Myer Eastland donations

Thanks yet again to the wonderful team at Myer Eastland for their ongoing generosity! We had a great visit from Stephanie (Store Manager) and Steph (fundraising queen) this morning,
dropping off a bunch of toiletries and hand knitted baby booties that will be passed on to the many families we support through our Housing Support Services at Lilydale.

Thank you St Kilda Mums!

Thanks to St Kilda Mums for assisting Leanne and Michael today. These goodies are already on their way to some of our community’s newest arrivals!

Thank you Helen!

Thanks to Helen B who has donated this gorgeous blanket (that has taken her close to a year to lovingly crotchet!). Our Lilydale team will have the privilege of passing this on to help keep someone warm.

PS- This goes to show that you never know how a single connection will flourish! Helen’s son is part of the team at Dynamic Steel Frame that have donated a frame for our Tiny Homes Australia initiative (to learn more or donate to the cause, check out

CommBank grants!

A huge thank you to the Commonwealth Bank for selecting Anchor to receive funds from their Centenary Grants.
Thanks to Studfield, Stud Park, Yarra Junction, Mount Evelyn, and Chirnside Park branches each donating $10,000, we now have $50,000 to support those that need it!
This money will go a long way to help many local people in areas of emergency re-location, specialist medical needs, social inclusion, and education. We will also be launching our innovative Head Lease program that will introduce great pathways for those needing a little extra help to return to the private rental market.
Fiona, Heidi, Lauren and Mark gratefully recieved this novelty cheque from Ken, Ingrid, Vin, Cheree and Roshan, at our Scoresby office this afternoon.

Thank you Middleman!

Since moving to Scoresby, we have all enjoyed getting to know the gang at Middleman (great coffee, amazing food, friendly staff- what’s not to love?!). They are getting to know us too, and are helping to get the word out to the rest of the Caribbean community. Thanks very much guys!

Thanks Emerald Fruit Barn!

Thanks to Emerald Fruit Barn for recently nominating Anchor Inc as the recipient of their in-store fundraising. In line with your delicious healthy selections, your donation will go towards enhancing the well-being of our community!
