NAIDOC themed Fostering Connections

As we continue to acknowledge and celebrate NAIDOC week, we’re reminded yet again of the ongoing need for foster carers.

All children should have a safe and supported home, and all individuals should have the opportunity to be connected to their cultural heritage.

NAIDOC event

We had a wonderful day today celebrating NAIDOC week at Lilydale Lake. It was fantastic to be entertained by traditional dances performed by Vanessa from EACH, and learn all about bush tucker from Wolithiga Wares.

Congratulations to Robyn from Healesville Indigenous Community Services Association for coordinating a great event. And thanks to Neal and the gang from Holy Fools for their work on the BBQ.

Remember to keep an eye out for more NAIDOC events over the rest of the week, as our community celebrates the culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
