Cyber Safety training

Our staff and carers were invited to attend a session in Cyber Safety Training today, to learn more about current trends of internet use among children and young people.

It was great to have Greg from the Office of Children’s eSafety Commissioner speak to us, and answer our questions. We’re looking at running another session in the near future, so if you missed out please contact Rebecca at rebecca.mulvogue@anchor.org.au.

In the mean time, you can go to www.esafety.gov.au/ for more information and helpful links for all ages.

Recipe/Foster Carer call

If you’re looking for a way to warm up this weekend, try this Moroccan Beef!

This delicious recipe was passed on to Anchor from one of our Foster Carers, who continue to provide safe homes for local children. A nutritious family meal is something that some children wouldn’t have the opportunity to experience without our volunteers.

If you’d like to learn more about becoming a Foster Carer please call us 03 9801 1999, or email info@anchor.org.au for an info pack.

Light FM

Our Business Manager, Fiona Nicholls, and Board Chairman, Ken Morgan, were recently invited to Light FM to meet other local businesses. This was a great opportunity to spread the word about Anchor, and what our organisation does. Building strong relationships plays an important part in us providing support throughout our community.

Thank you to Light FM for the opportunity!
